Linksys WRT610N Simultaneous Dual-N Band Wireless Router

Hi,

Old one has 1.00.02.B18. it has a WD 500GB usb hdd connected, 7 x WVC54GCA IP camera.
The 7 Cam (3xwired and 4xwireless) was setup to save motion detect on scheduled time via FTp on my router usb hdd. it's so slow that after a week i decided to disabled the setup. it was last year.

Today, i decided to upgrade my routers firmware. 2/15/2011.
I found out on this site http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/wireless/linksys latest is v1.00.03.B15.

I did the needed upgrade process and initial test seem that it did improve my local and ftp access on my routers usb hdd where i saved the motion captured pictures.

Regarding WVC54GCA IP CAM...
I would really wish cisco/linksys will add a feature that will automatically saved the pictures on a folder based on daily date. like for ex. today 02152011 folder will only contains todays 00 to 24h pictures... Since one of the problem now is that if you have thousands of picture on a folder on the routers usb hdd, it will take too much time (soo slow) to access. this suggestion will surely help my access faster. Please.... add this one linksys/cisco.

Hi,

A gift from my sisters best friend gave me this. I am not sure if they can read my mine but i am really having some usb port deficiency problem already since i have many device using usb. like my old palm tx, usb camera, sdcard readers, wife's ipod mini, printers, WD HDD ext., flash drives, usb mouse and etc.

it's so easy to use since i just connected it to a free usb port and also put the ext. power supply for the 10 port hub and now i dont have to remove most of usb devices.
